A Visit to the Pentagon – New Defense Secretary, the Armed Forces & Vetting Measures
President Trump visited the Pentagon for the swearing in of Defense Secretary Gen. James Mattis. The President took the opportunity to sign executive orders, one of which he said would “begin a great rebuilding of the armed services of the United States”.
President Trump also signed an executive order designed to establish new vetting measures, ostensibly to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the country. “We don’t want them here. We want to make sure that we are not admitting into our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas,” Trump said. “We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people.”
